  The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) is the world’s leading charity in preventing cruelty and promoting kindness to animals. It is set apart by its uniformed Inspectors, the frontline staff who investigate animal neglect and prosecutes those responsible. My role was to recruit and develop these extraordinary people to prepare them for a unique career.Designed and implemented the training programme for internal coaches and mentors, linked to NVQ. Conducted a training needs analysis on behalf of the Taiwanese Government resulting in a new, comprehensive development and training programme for their Animal Protection Inspectors which I delivered myself via an interpreter. The foundation of this international work has led to an ongoing training programme with Taiwan.Designed and developed all in-house training courses for uniformed employees of the RSPCA, varying in duration from 2 hours to 1 year Show less Investigated complaints of animal cruelty and neglect received from members of the public and other agencies, on average 800 complaints a year. These ranged from welfare and advice to prosecutions that required me to prepare and give evidence in Court.Developed excellent conflict management skillsActively liaised with other agencies regarding human and animal welfare concerns.Mentoring new staff members and delivery of training to North Yorkshire and Humberside Police on animal welfare law.
