  This is a fixed-term two-year Knowledge Transfer Partnership scheme (sponsored by Department of Trade & Industry, UK Government) between University of Bedfordshire and HR Advantage Ltd. • Design, development and implementation of a web-based time recording system using Java Server Pages, SQL and Microsoft Access to replace the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet based inefficient system.• Preparing requirements for the knowledge base system through interview, staff workshop and observation of HR industry specific processes.• Development of a prototype using Java and MySQL for further requirements refinement and feasibility study of in-house development.• Leading the evaluation of 3rd party web knowledge-based system as possible solutions.
