      The Kansas Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (KS-LSAMP) is a National Science Foundation funded program at Kansas State University. Our goal is to help increase the number of underrepresented minorities graduating with science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) degrees from Kansas State University.I was responsible for assisting the project coordinator. This includes:- Organizing Transfer Advising Guides for students wishing to transfer from an LSAMP-affiliated community college into a STEM field. - Editing and managing the KS-LSAMP blog: http://kslsamp.edublogs.org/- Helping to run a weekly class as part of the LSAMP supported "Research Immersion: Pathways to STEM (RiPS) summer program."       The New England Interstate Water Pollution Control Commission is a not-for-profit interstate agency that utilizes a variety of strategies to meet the water-related needs of our member states. • Commission lead for TMDLs, Water Quality Standards, Nutrient Criteria, Volunteer Monitoring, Aquatic Biology, and Harmful Algal Blooms.• Workgroup coordinator of the above topics for representatives of the New England states, New York, and EPA. This included holding all-day meetings and organizing trainings.• Host and organizer for a national, EPA-funded, webinar series for CWA Section 303(d)/TMDL staff. • Track EPA policy developments and updates that assess effects in the Northeast, responding with public comment letters on behalf of the States when necessary.• Grant writing and project management for regional projects aimed at improving water quality. • Coordinated and hosted workshops and conferences from local to national levels.• Coordinated national webinars for EPAs Underground Storage Tank programs, both for Inspector Training and Corrective Action Training.
