  • As a writer for HMH my responsibility is to create the release notes for each build, create the training deliverable and update the existing training deliverable. Quality plays an integral part of the release notes as it is required by the Sales and IT team. • Manage both the documents separately for the Sales and IT team. The information is to be accurate as the release notes and training deliverables are referred by internal team of HMH and customers as well.• Seasonal release notes are also part of the releases, which are published four times in a year. For example winter, summer, spring and autumn releases.• Download the project plan from ECRM Sharepoint Portal.• Download the requirements from ECRM Sharepoint Portal.• From the requirement doc and business stories, understand the background for creating the new feature or the enhancement. Then read the requirements and check the functionality in SFDC.• Document the same and add appropriate screen shots.• Once done, read the entire document and edit accordingly. Then check the QA Test Plan or Script to validate the documented information. If there are any changes against the requirement, then check with QA and update the same in the release notes. Also, attend the ECRM calls to get an idea of any update or change made to the release date or a feature.• The QA team tests the sandbox soon after development of the features for a release and mentions the defects in QA site. I have to check the defects and its related notes, if there are any changes made based on the created defects, and then I have to update the same in the release notes.• Finally, compare the document steps with the demos to finalize the correct information.• Share the draft version of document with Sue for review.• Fix the edits and upload the final version of release notes document to the SharePoint external folder.
