  • Undertook ocular imaging projects using Matlab• Researched on various algorithms such as level set and local thresholding to segment structures such as the Schlemm’s Canal and choroid blood vessels in the eyes.• Fine-tuned and optimised the local thresholding algorithm to achieve highly accurate segmentation of the choroid blood vessels.• Produced a 3D virtual model of the choroid blood vessel network at the end of the project.

  • Implemented real-time object detection algorithm on live drone footage which is then processed on PC with low latency via several channels including RTMP server and HDMI video capture card.• Developed communication between Python file (in PC) and Java (DJI SDK, android app) through socket programming to manoeuvre drone using hand gestures.• Executed successfully real-time detection and recognition of vehicles such as cars, motorcycles, buses and lorries on drone mid-flight.   • Utilised a compensation model to generate compensated retinal nerve fibre layer (RNFL) measurements in Chinese, Indian and Malay patients.• Engineered a multivariate linear regression model to utilise the compensated RNFL measurements to predict patients’ risk of having an eye disease named glaucoma.• Achieved 93% accuracy score when compensated RNFL measurements were used, as compared to 87% accuracy score on uncompensated RNFL measurements.• Received praise and feedback that I was proficient and efficient in my work as well as being punctual in meeting deadlines.
