      Activities and Societies: Disabled Graduate Student Association, UBC Trans Coalition, Bodies, Minds and Disabilities Research Cluster, School of Nursing Graduate Academic Assistant, UBC Equity and Inclusion Office My research will draw on both social science and health disciplines to explore challenges faced by trans-disabled individuals when accessing healthcare. The community-based research study will provide insight into how those occupying both transgender and disabled identities navigate and advocate for themselves within the healthcare system. I plan on producing a community-based zine in order to make my research more accessible to a wide range of audiences, to provoke change and spur action.
