The presentation and character of the program reflects the actual use of Herbal Medicine as generally practiced by Natives, Thompsonians and Eclectics.The program provides a basic understanding of the human body and use of herbal therapeutics.The program includes Anatomy & Physiology and Materia Medica incorporating approximately 200 western herbs and encompassing botanical description, distribution, cultivation, harvest, constituents, properties, formulae & dosages and contraindications.Also included in this program is a practical book by Ella Birzneck, RMT, MH, EP drawn from generations of herbal knowledge as well as her own lifetime of experience as a practicing Herbalist and natural healer. • Participated in and won the first Guyana Geology and Mines Commission (GGMC) Science and Technology Quiz, in a team of four (9th to 13th November, 2009).• Participated in Drama, Impromtu Speech and Elocution competitions and earning one of the top three spaces in the latter two.• Participated in a Tree Planting Exercise at the National Park and gave an Impromtu Speech• Participated at a CARICOM Heads of Government Summit by leading in the invocation.
