      As Campus Director for Bumble at the University of Kansas, I led a group of 8 women in planning events and driving social media awareness for the brand. I followed a list of tasks provided by Bumble and saw them come to completion within my team. I planned and hosted campus events sponsored by Bumble in order to drive downloads and increase brand recognition. I also used my personal social media platforms to advocate my support and provide information about the application. My team was successful and saw an increase in the amount of events we were able to hold. A surge of downloads in the surrounding area were a result of our guerilla marketing efforts. Show less

      Digital Marketing Intern

      My internship was structured around weekly training for different roles within the Digital Team at Burns & McDonnell. These training sessions included email marketing, landing pages, news releases, paid social ads, blog optimization, LinkedIn profile audits, writing social copy, scheduling multi-channel posts, and marketing data analyzation.I worked with marketing technology such as HubSpot, Sitecore, LinkedIn Elevate, and LinkedIn Campaign Manager. Seeing how all of these tools work together to achieve and effective and successful marketing strategy was the highlight of my internship. Throughout nine weeks, I created my own startup, built a marketing plan, and budgeted for a marketing technology stack. With the help of the Digital Team, I was able to bring the entire company to life through emails, a landing page, blog posts, one news release, two paid social ads, and a customized campaign analytics dashboard.       Using Sprout Social, I planned content for Instagram and Facebook. I strategically chose content relevant to KU students while staying consistent with CommunityAmerica's brand. I provided a student prespective on campus life so that CommunityAmerica could effectively capture students and how they think. I crafted social copy that relates to our audience and educates the KU community on the benefits of belonging to a credit union. I also designed graphics through Canva. Canva allowed me to build brand folders and easily create interesting and interactive graphics that enhance the display of our message.I assisted in the planning process of Life Skills Series which includes experts and KU students. Life Skills is a series that educates students on topics like building credit, establishing a budget, identifying your skills, and building a network. I also lead a group of brand ambassadors in field marketing activities and manage task completion.This role taught me to be flexible with my time and communication skills. I enjoyed juggling school and part-time work. This position has grown my professional network and opened my eyes to the importance of creativity, trial and error, and financial literacy. Show less

      I help manage 21 social media accounts for Burns & McDonnell and our family of brands. Using HubSpot, I oversee the calendar, social copy development, strategic planning and community engagement. I also use Adobe Photoshop to create social media graphics and ad creatives. I develop and launch digital advertising campaigns that educate audiences on our services, our brand and career opportunities. Another aspect of launching digital and social ad campaigns is audience building and budget management. I oversee that our ads are running toward the correct individuals.I ensure that messages received through social media channels, our website's Contact Us form and the Live Chat are routed to the correct contact(s) within the business.
