      As a Sergeant in the Field Artillery, I served in the position of Fire Direction Control Section Chief. I was responsible for the morale, welfare, and training of no less than 4 Soldiers in their daily use of the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS) targeting and missions computer as well as basic Soldier skills. My main duties included:-Supervised and coordinated the safe and successful live firing of the first 2 Guided Multiple Launch Rockets (GMLR) ever fired by the U.S. Army at the National Training Center in Fort Irwin, CA.-Supervised and coordinated over 200 safe and successful live fires of the Reduced Range Practice Rockets (RRPR) during training in Fort Sill, Oklahoma; Fort Bliss, Texas; and Rocket Valley Artillery Range, Warrior Base, Republic of Korea.-Created and executed Battery and Battalion level Fire Mission Standard Operation Procedures.-Maintained situation maps and fires capability charts.-Advised Battery Commanders on the site placement of ammunition holding areas and the MLRS weapons platform.-Maintained accountability and serviceability of over $500,000 of mission essential military equipment.-Created and maintained secured digital communication networks. Supervised the use of secured networks to ensure compliance with classified communications security. Designed a hands-on training course for rapid field instruction on creating classified networks.-Actively coordinated with Raytheon and Lockheed & Martin representatives for suggestions on software improvements and testing new fire control processors. -Developed and implemented plans for physical security of field sites.-Served as Battery Volunteer Service Coordinator in charge of coordinating volunteer events and service to the Korean community in and around Camp Casey.-Served as Battery Primary Combatives instructor responsible for the training and proficiency of more than 60 Soldiers in the advanced use of hand-to-hand combat and self-defense techniques.
