During this role I was on the out-of-hours rota, working night and weekend shifts as the lead scientist. Training post in the HaemoChemistry Laboratory. Responsible for the set up, maintenance and analysis of blood samples and performing quality assurance. Shadowing qualified members of staff and working under supervision to analyse and report results. During this period I completed my Bachelor of Science through distance learning.
