    • Bank of Ireland

      Mar 2015 - Feb 2018

The next area I worked in with Bank of Ireland was Direct personal Lending and my role in this department was a Lending Advisor. Bank of Ireland and other bank customers would call or apply online for personal loans for purposes such as car loans and car repairs, home improvement loans, holiday loans etc. Customers would also be applying for Overdrafts and Credit Cards. My role would be to communicate with customers who would apply for loans, Overdrafts and Credit Cards and either go through an application or give information and decisions on current ongoing applications. I would be involved in assessing to see if a customer meets the criteria for an application and if so I would go through an application with the customer over the phone. Show less I got the opportunity to move the Business and Agri Lending sector of Bank of Ireland. I aim to give the best possible experience to new and existing customers in relation to Business and Agricultural loans. In order to maintain and ensure a good experience for all customers it involves working very closely with all Bank of Ireland branch staff members and also Business and Agricultural lenders. My role in this sector of Bank of Ireland includes communicating on a daily basis with new and existing customers who wish to make an application or query an existing loan application. It also involves managing customer expectation. For customers looking to drawdown there approved lending facility, I would e-mail a facility letter to the customer or to the customers local branch, and when the customer was ready to drawdown their approved loan into their account I would go through the drawdown stage with them over the phone. After gaining priceless knowledge and experience in the Business and Agricultural sector I got the opportunity to move to another sector within Bank of Ireland, where I could learn and gain more experience. Show less I started off my Bank of Ireland career working in a customer service representative role. The role involved firstly learning all the procedures of Bank of Ireland. The role of customer service is an important role as it involved dealing with customers on a daily basis, answering and solving there queries and delivering the best customer experience possible for all customers. The role involved working closely with a team leader who would advise and guide each team member into becoming the best possible customer representative for Bank of Ireland. I worked in this department until October as I got approached and offered to move to a different sector within Bank of Ireland Show less
