As an analyst, I was responsible for investigating automotive quality and design related issues in Canada and reporting to R&D centers in the USA and Japan. More specifically, identifying, analyzing, testing and counter-measuring potential cold weather and corrosion related problems.I led the testing of suspension components, tire traction, brake performance, engine startability and HVAC performance in various extreme environmental conditions. I supported engineering teams for regional confirmation across Canada for new engine, transmission and chassis technologies. Many test reports were used in improving the vehicle specifications and requirements for the Canadian market. As the local R&D office, I established the evaluation method and criteria of new technologies designed for the Canadian market. I also coordinated the surveying of dealership and customer concerns with international engineers in order to demonstrate the unique conditions and expectations of Canadian customers.I was responsible for developing, testing and approving the first in-house accessory development for Honda Canada. This involved designing, prototyping, material testing, and vehicle testing with Engineering. Show less
