  I manage a team of 5 system administrators and 8 different very critical projects which generate over $1 Billion in revenue and require a 100% uptime with hot site replications in order of a disaster. I have managed projects from the initial start till the very end which is maintenance. I have a very good understanding of the Project implementation as well as meeting the customer requirements. Currently, I support the operations team as a team lead of a team of 5 System Administrators and provide 3rd level support to our LAB which is located remotely. We manage security on all servers and workstations as well as providing all hardware & software support 24x7. Our networks are a mixed environment of systems running Solaris 8/9/10, Linux ES, & Windows 2003/2008 Active Directory. I am very familiar with the DoD standards of hardening systems following the STIG’s and DISA guidelines. I have been working in this environment for over 10 years and have extensive experience in System design, system security & management. I have been tasked to overlook and run the system admin team which is responsible for daily system support along with server level support. We also provide 3rd level support to the LAB where all the implementations are tested prior to implement in production environment.   Over seeing 250+ Servers in the development lab for one of the major government customers for IBM. Responsibilities include installing, configuring and maintaining the servers in an enterprise environment. Disk Management for all servers with central storage over fiber, iSCSI and NFS. Hardening of all systems according to the Project requirements. Also responsible for creating and maintaining central log monitoring for all servers via syslog. Supporting the Development, Testing & performance teams during the new builds and new rollouts. Reviewing performance stats for the servers as well as the disk arrays to ensure that everything is running well and to performance level. Maintaining a local database to include all Assets being used in the Lab environment. Performing automation within the Active Directory for patch management as well as software installations. Working with the internal auditors to perform various tests to ensure all security vulnerabilities have been mitigated. Performing full backups and performing verification of all backups along with monthly tests is also part of my teams’ responsibilities.
