  I was attached to a team of 12 handling the year-end audit of an Investment Bank. Tasked with carrying out the statutory audit of 10 non-bank entities of the Group, experiencing the importance of managing relationships with stakeholders such as the corporate secretary. I was also assigned the responsibility for the audit of material non-significant accounts, e.g. taxation and retained earnings, as well as the reasonableness testing of foreign exchange rates used by the bank.

  I gained exposure to the implementation of the accruals and prepayments centralisation project. This project seemed to identify best practices to homogenise a central procedure conducted out of a central team. Cost saves are identified through the implementation of a standard process that will deliver a reduction in the number of processes.Key tasks involved aligning processes, stakeholder management, process write-up and policy delivery as well as process change UAT. I assisted across the project spectrum, which gave me the opportunity to learn and understand the end-to-end process of project delivery. I was assigned to focus on one key account line and work with the project team and stakeholders to meet the interim target. This involved testing, stakeholder management, reengineering and implementation.
