  Michele Lindner is an Audit Principal at Grassi & Co. and is heavily engaged with clients in the construction industry, helping them meet their financial and tax deadlines, and providing advice to allow them to run their operations more efficiently.Michele co leads the Employee Benefit Practice of the firm with expertise in this area.Her work includes performing audits, reviews and compilations and in developing tax deferral strategies that accelerate depreciation and save her clients money. Michele is also involved in tax compliance and has performed consulting projects for her construction clients, including fraud risk assessments, cost audits and acquisition due diligence.Michele plays a major role in the development and training of the audit staff, particularly relating to the construction industry, manufacturing and distributing and employee benefit plans.Michele is a graduate of the Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Suma Cum Laude. She continues her professional training with a heavy schedule of continuing professional education coursework in audit and taxation. Michele is an active member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) and has recently become involved in the firm’s marketing and business development efforts. Michele is a member of the Association for Accountants and Financial Professionals in Business, IMA. Michele has obtained a certification as a Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP), of which there are less then 1,000 in the United States.I was a board of the Long Island Chapter of IMA in the past.In 2015, I was honored by Queens Courier as Power Women in Business.
