  I completed my 3 years of study while learning all aspects of the career in this busy cardiac department.Following this I performed EP testing, pacing implant (including ICD & CRT devices) and follow-up, angiography, PCIs (including an on-call Primary PCI service), ETTs, BP, Holter & PAD monitor application and analysis as well as 12-lead ECGs.As I gained experience I became more involved with teaching junior members of staff, which I found a very enjoyable and rewarding part of the job.   Chief Cardiac Physiologist

  I am the Lead Physiologist for Electrophysiology and training.I was involved in setting up the EP service in 2012, this involved the procurement and installation of equipment as well as writing protocols and providing training for colleagues. We perform a range of ablations (both RF and Cryo) and diagnostic procedures for SVTs and VT.I perform a number of pacemaker, ICD and CRT follow up clinics each week. I have also completed many device implant procedures, including 30 ICD and 40 CRT procedures in the last 12 months.I am actively involved in a large range of procedures within the Cath Lab including: Angiograms, PCI, IVUS, Rotablation, Pressure Wire, ILS, Temporary Pacing and Pericardial Drains.
