  I have recently completed a Performance Analysis Internship with the Carlton Football Club. I have a level one SportsCode accreditation. The SportsCode software examines and evaluates individual and team game performances providing real-time and post-game detailed analysis to coaching staff and players. During my internship at Carlton I was responsible for game day operations on a weekly basis with their VFL affiliation, the Northern Blues. Game day operations included filming, live coding and producing reports for the coaches as well as converting raw footage post match and stacking it with statistics using Sportscode. Another important role has been to create and continually update databases using both SportsCode and Excel as well as on internal servers. Show less

  My involvement at the elite level has enabled me to acquire considerable knowledge in all facets of performance analysis by having a hands-on approach with all tasks.I have experience using SportsCode, iCoda, Excel, Keynote as well as various tennis specific programs and applications. I have extensive experience using these programs to assist coaches and players observe and analyse performance. Throughout my Tennis Australia Internship I have worked closely and developed key relationships with coaches and completed tasks for them on a regular basis - often using SportsCode, with the aims of measuring a specific aspect of their player’s i.e. forehand errors or transitions, by monitoring and observing technical aspects of performance. I am confident in using and setting up cameras to film training and matches, which was a daily responsibility at both internships. Show less

  For the past year I have been volunteering at Melbourne City FC assisting the two Performance Analysts. For the A-League squad each week I analyse a match using SportsCode on the upcoming opponent, which the analysts then use to show the coaches how the opposition team plays and how to plan for each upcoming opponent. I also use The Football Squad website to do a ‘goals analysis’ whereby each goal of the round is recorded, including the type of goal, how and where it was scored and the scorer. Another role of mine is to film training sessions and games for both the men’s and women’s a league teams and also the NPL squads. Show less

  During the 2017 and 2018 VNL seasons I was responsible for match day statistics for the Yarra Ariels Championship team. Statistics are recorded using the newly developed ‘NetballStats’ app by Perana Sports. The app is used for both team and individual statistics and covers a wide range of different statistics including shooting stats (including efficiency), assists, turnovers and interceptions. NetballStats also has the capacity to be imported into SportsCode.

  I have recently gained a capture role position with Champion Data where I am responsible for capturing statistics both live and post match for the NAB League, VFL and VFLW competitions. To obtain this position I demonstrated a thorough knowledge of AFL and completed a rigorous interview process which consisted of three stages. Whilst capturing VFL games live, I am working in conjunction with a caller and caller support who are at the ground calling every statistic for both teams. My role is to input the statistics into a capture program which feeds straight to CIS and the VFL application. For both the NAB League and VFLW competitions the statistics are completed post match and a lot more extensive than when completed live. Show less
