      • Lead engineer for an organisation of 450 service personnel delivering communications and command infrastructure in geographically dispersed locations. Led and managed a team of 40 professionally recognised engineers delivering equipment support across vehicles, weapons, generators and lifting equipment. Responsible for the management of personnel, infrastructure and over £10million of equipment.• Designed and developed an engineering management system to ensure quality control of engineering practices, risk, manage personnel currency and competency and implement departmental strategic plans. Streamlined processes using lean principles, innovative solutions and technology to improve efficiency, empower junior decision making and continuous improvement. Regularly passing external audits to remain compliant across a range of military and civilian policies.• Through leadership and nurturing talent, developed an under performing and under valued department to success. Transforming a vehicle equipment availability from 45 to 85% to meet readiness requirements, in doing so coached 12 personnel to promotion and halving the outflow of personnel.• Led a project to develop an under funded and resourced camp vehicle inspection facility closed due to a string of accidents, but urgently required to deliver pan-military operational effect. Reviewed, developed and prioritising implementation of improved working practices, infrastructure and organisation to deliver a highly capable department to schedule and cost that has been accident free for 18 months.• Cultivated strong relationships with cross functional teams, stakeholders and senior management through communication, adaptability and reliability to create a trusted, valued and resilient department capable of delivering to a high standard at short notice.
