It is here that I continue my hobby of writing while also watching football from a different point of view. This role has enabled me to learn more about the game of football as well as the ever-changing role of the media. While mainly covering games in Limerick I have also, on occasion, covered games beyond the scope of Limerick.

  I reported from League of Ireland matches for the online platform Goal.com during the 2015 season. This included a match preview, live updates and a subsequent match report. The role enabled me to progress my writing skills as well as be involved with a massively recognised media brand. I also covered a couple of games in 2016 before Goal stopped covering the League of Ireland for the foreseeable future.

  I worked in the football team for the Betfair Exchange between September 2016 and August 2017. This team was new in Ireland following the merger of Betfair and Paddy Power earlier in 2016. My role involved the preparation and operation of football games around the globe from days before each game to market finish, as well as dealing with customer requests, queries and problems. This is a fast-paced environment which requires high level of team collaboration and teamwork each day. A high volume and challenging environment where the scope of the role involved inter-departmental cross-over.I left Dublin, and the role, to return to Limerick after 11 months. Show less
