  Within Skills Development Scotland, the Service Design & Innovation Directorate is the product research and development function, involved in the development of new innovative services and products from idea inception, to production. My role is to manage the portfolio of work within SD&I, ensuring we are doing 'right things at the right time' and to provide technical project management expertise to support the successful development of our products and services.I have most recently been involved in the design and implementation of a new portfolio management and integrated planning process that allows us to be more agile with our portfolio so we can respond effectively to emerging priorities. Recent examples of projects I have managed include the design stream of a review of the Scottish Career System, the development and implementation of SDS' strategy and the development of school pathway apprenticeships.
