  Running the recording studio based at Headington SchoolResponsibilities include:• Recording concerts and events as necessary and/or appropriate, including Balliol and Merton colleges, Oxford, the Holywell Music Room, and the Sheldonian Theatre• Setup and operation of live sound systems for both small and large scale events• Managing the studio and equipment for all school use, and maintenance and purchase of new equipment• Teaching practical elements of Music Technology A Level• Providing support for staff and students using such equipment in class and in coursework, particularly in Music Technology classes• Assisting students outside of class, currently through the popular “Music Technology Club”, fostering interest in KS3 and 4.• Providing first and second level IT support to the department: designing and building infrastructure for Macintosh-based workstation environments, taking responsibility for the installation, maintenance and support of specialist music software (Sibelius, Logic Pro X and Pro Tools) and related hardware, maintenance of the music server and storage system, use of all IT equipment, and departmental software/licensesExperiences also include:• Filming and associated editing for special projects school-wide, including use of aerial photography systems and drones• Sound design for school plays, as well as lighting and sound operation on large-scale musical productions • Engineering and producing professional external hires for international musicians and companies Show less
