      I gained competences typical of red biotechnology in veterinary and animal models: the manipulation of genes and their products for application related to domestic animals, the usage of cells, gametes, embriones for cellular and reproductive biotechnology and the creation of in vitro models for the sperimentation. I studied in deep also the field of neurobiology, infectious diseases, genomics, bioinformatics and aspects related to animal and human nutrition.

      Research topic: Development and application of a novel system for investigation of EHV-1 infections and immune responses utilising viral pseudotyping Viral Pseudotype Unit (VPU): develop therapeutics for the novel coronavirus. With funding from the MRC, this work involves working within a multi-disciplinary team to perform a panel of cell-based assays such as ELISA, pseudotype virus neutralisation using monoclonal antibodies and convalescent sera.
