      Explored what genes within the type III secretion systems in Vibrio parahaemolyticus could be used as potential virulence markers, as the current gene markers used do not truly indicate whether the strain is virulent.

      Used MALDI-TOF Mass Spectrometry and Rstudios to develop a mechanism to subtype C. auris strains. Worked with the Influenza Team, sequencing and analyzing clinical samples. Designed and validated a multiplex RT-qPCR assay to discriminate Yamagata/Victoria lineages for Influenza B.
