  Work in various divisions at Natref, I started my career as Process controller at Natref. Work for three years as Snr process controller. I then followed a career as Instrument mechanic, and continue my studies and complete my Master Diploma in Engineering light current (T6). Promoted to Principal technician Instruments, and was involved in the switch over from analogue instrument systems at Natref, to a Yokogawa Distributed control system (DCS).In 1989 I was seconded to form part of the Sasol Technology start-up assistance group for four years, constructing and commissioning MOSSGAS (now PETROSA). I was involved in all the cold separation units, NGL, LNG, Oxygen unit and Methane Reforming units.In 1993 I returned to Natref and as Principal Instrument technician I design and build and installed a HIMA ESD system for the Natref units.In 1994 I was promoted to head the analyser section at Natref, based in the Laboratory till 1998. In 1999 I was appointed as Mechanical Engineer for the PAU (Platformer, Alkylation and Utility) units. During this period I also complete my Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA). From 2006 I was heading the project division, and currently still in the position. we execute various projects like Platformer reactor replacement, HF Alkylation unit Relief gas scrubber upgrade, State of the art modern white product loading Gantry, CDU Unit crude charge furnace replacement, FCC Unit regenerator and reactor cyclone replacement (Total Medusa replacement).
