  Two 24 year old girls started tutoring a family of four refugee children in 2008 and co-founded an NGO school (Fugee School) with a community leader in service of the refugee community in Kuala Lumpur. More than 10 years later, the school has educated over 500 students. Fugee School seeks to help students realise their potential by equipping them with academic, creative and life skills in an inclusive environment free from discrimination and ultimately develop a ‘victim-to-victor’ mentality in its students.
