      At the end of my internship, I presented a literature review titled, "The Use of Expressive Arts Therapy on Alleviating Schizophrenia Symptoms". I explored how each art therapy like creative writing, music, dance-movement (DMT), and visual arts have improved positive and negative symptoms, depression, and anxiety among adults who experience schizophrenia. The aim of the literature review at my internship site was to potentially increase the frequency of certain therapies (ex. music therapy and DMT) and to possibly implement creative writing. After my presentation, I received supportive feedback from my supervisor, with the possibility of incorporating expressive arts at the site in the future. Show less
