      As an intern, I worked closely with the projects, workshop and the design teams to understand all elements as well as operations of the business.During my time Aquaterra Energy Ltd, I got a chance to represent the company internationally in Amsterdam where I was involved in constructing a vortex induced vibration system. I was given the chance to participate in the international project as a rewarded for demonstrating practical skills, positive attitude and eagerness to learn.

      In this role, I played a supportive to the offshore platforms owned and operated by Perenco in the Southern North Sea. As such, I facilitated instructions between the office and external platforms the company operates - onshore and offshore. I worked jointly with external verification department Bureau Veritas in proactively undertaking corrective actions to ensure safe and productive work on and offshore.The work was often time pressured, as actions were necessary to ensure a safe and efficient working environment was maintained while ensuring conformity to Health and Safety laws.       I am in charge of project managing on behalf of Seajacks the first commercial Wind Farm in Taiwan, Formosa I Phase II, as a Project Engineer and Technical Sales Executive for the Asia Pacific Region. As such, I play a key role in establishing Seajacks’ Taiwanese Branch and training 3 newly recruited locals. Additionally, I provide technical support for the Taiwanese offshore market as well as oversee the communication and tenders in South Korea. I also manage the implementation of local legislation changes in Taiwan. In addition, I am in charge of establishing the operation and maintenance supply chain for Seajacks. I also manage the seismic assessment for jack-up vessels operation in seismically active areas which has never been done in the industry before.As a Project Engineer, acting as a client representative for the vessel mobilisation, I am also in charge of generating operational documents for operating in Taiwan as well as Typhoon and Earthquake response emergency response documents. Show less As a Project Engineer, I oversaw various activities including Installation and commissioning of Additional Living Quarters (ALQs) to assist with fabric maintenance on the Shell L02 platform. In addition, I was involved in the commissioning of the ABB operated Dolwin Beta Platform as well as decommissioning of the Tullow owned Horne and Wren Platform. I also played a pivotal role in increasing the production of gas from Centrica’s North Morecambe Platform, completing two main component exchanges, without the use and guidance of the sites OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), a first in the renewable wind sector.Role highlights include• Leveraged expertise to satisfy as well as exceed client requirements by ensuring effective communication between all Seajacks departments, clients, subcontractors and certifying Authorities• Enabled greater levels of efficiency by participating in technical and commercial meetings with clients, subcontractors and certifying authorities• Applied detail-oriented skills to create and review technical method statements and drawings• Developed and reviewed detailed project programmes/schedules while ensuring safe and effective methods of work, leveraging extensive vessel knowledge• Exceeded attention to detail requirements when creating elaborate mobilisation specifications/work packs to allow the vessel mobilise• Facilitated subcontractors to perform Site Specific Assessments (SSAs) for jacking operations by collating all necessary information• On-site management of vessel mobilisations • Ensured safe working practices by participating in HAZID/HAZOB safety meetings• Provided technical advice in the preparation of Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs) and Invitations to Tender (ITTs)• Leveraged expertise in offering technical and operational advice to other Seajacks departments on vessels’ capabilities in the wind farm, oil & gas and construction environment and when undertaking specialist lifting operations Show less
