Gained awairness about the business side on Non-Profits and how to manage crowd fundraising, project management, and event planning. over 6 million dollars were raised that year for the Cancer Center from this event.

  I was part of a 10 month, team based, service program. We worked directly with FEMA in assisting after natural disasters. Round 1: worked in mitigation at the region 7 office researching the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP)and developing their trainings in MO for 2 weeks. Then, preformed Disaster Survivor Assistance (DSA) after Hurricane Florence in SC for 6 weeks. Round 2: preformed DSA for flooding in WI for 3 weeks. Then, preformed DSA after hurricane Michael in FL for 4 weeks. Round 3: Worked in Puerto Rico for 3 months in the Hub of Philanthropic Engagement. I worked in the communications unit, working on exel sheets that tracked the progress of information coming in and going out of our sector. Show less
