  Stock selection for 3 Eastern European equity funds (2 in Luxembourg and 1 in Sweden) with around 250 MEUR total AUM. Investment universe consisted of around 1000 large, small and mid cap companies from both regional emerging (Poland, Turkey, Hungary, Czechia; Greece) and frontier markets (Estonia, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Lithuania, Latvia). Responsibilities included conducting own fundamental company research; using third-party company and macro research; trading via centralized desk in Stockholm; monitoring that funds are in full compliance with all constraints (regulatory + self-imposed such as liquidity limits, ESG etc); sales support and marketing of funds internationally; monthly reportingMet with around 1000 company managements during roadshows and conferences and conducted due diligence on around 200 IPOs and placements.Our funds were not fully sustainable, but we worked closely with SEB’s global ESG team and preferred stocks with higher ESG ratings in our selection process while engaging with or excluding „dirty“ companies.As a nimble and agile team we won numerous awards and were perceived as one of the best equity teams within SEB’s global asset management organisation.
