      SEO Manager

As SEO Manager, I was in charge of new sales and customer retention, as well as the day to day running of the four person department.New Sales:Taking initial telephone and email enquiries from potential clients and converting these into sales. This involved giving an in depth, immediate assessment of the client's website in terms of the recommended SEO strategy - as well as recommending any design and/or copywriting services which may also be required.Client retention was particularly important in this role and was achieved by me maintaining an active relationship with the clients to ensure they were happy with the service at all times and would therefore continue to renew their contracts with the company. Maintaining this rapport with clients enabled me to recognise and quickly respond to cross and upselling opportunities throughout the year as well.In my first six months in this role, I achieved the highest month's takings my department had seen in approximately five years. In addition to the sales and customer services element of this role, I was also very involved in both clients' and the company's marketing activities:Contributing ideas for new services the company could offer, evaluating and reporting on all ideas, and then managing my department's fulfilment of these;Managing Google Adwords campaigns for clients;Contributing to the company blog;Contributing to the company social media accounts;Copywriting a company newsletter to be sent to clients;Google Analytics data analysis and reporting for company and clients;Copywriting company email marketing campaigns;Copywriting for company websites;Copywriting for client websites;Compiling candidate shortlists for job applications, and conducting initial telephone and/or face to face interviews;Training new staff on internal systems, and ensuring they understood the range of services offered before speaking to clients. Marketing Manager

This was a fixed term contract to assist a former colleague in setting up his new company, and ensuring that he had all the necessary marketing strategies and literature in place to enable him to continue alone.I was involved in refining product ideas for the company, and the business analysis for these, including working out appropriate pricing strategies which allowed for planned promotional discounts. I managed the production of the company websites, the company branding and also undertook all copywriting for websites and all emails in the email lifecycle. Show less

      Senior Account Manager

Working at Mulberry Square, I am in charge of the day to day running of the studio, as well as being the lead contact for our larger clients.I work primarily to build long lasting relationships with clients, particularly focusing on the web side of the business. As well as smaller CMS website projects, I manage large ecommerce projects (developed using Magento) from initial client contact through to the ongoing online marketing and technical support required after a site has gone live. Managing a team, both of in-house staff and freelancers, it's important to retain an overall appreciation and understanding of everybody's workload and be on hand to prioritise work where necessary - and there can be a fair amount of juggling required! Working in an agency environment naturally means that client needs and demands change on an ongoing basis, and it's important to me that I am able to help wherever necessary alongside the rest of the team. Having always worked in an environment which relies on a pragmatic, hands-on approach, I have been able to develop many skills, including technical, along the way to allow me to do this.In addition to the day to day running of the studio, I work closely with the Managing Director to assess the success of various areas of the company on a monthly basis, and to work with him on business development plans for further business growth and improvement.
