      Navy and Marine Corp Achievement Medal Commanding Officer (USS Oklahoma City) Dec 2012 During an Operational Reactor Safeguards Examination (ORSE), The submarine USS Oklahoma City experienced a catastrophic failure with one of the motor generator regulators used in electric plant distribution. I diagnosed the problem from the symptoms and developed a repair plan. I researched spare parts and, due to a lack in the supply system, cannibalized/stole a part from the ship's periscope to repair the motor generator.
