      The Little Miami Conservancy (LMC), formerly known as Little Miami, Inc. (LMI), was founded in 1967 as a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the restoration and protection of the Little Miami National Wild & Scenic River.Driven by the generous support of our donors and the support of our volunteers LMC has:Created more than 100 beautiful nature preserves through purchase and charitable gifts, and planted over 50,000 trees and 200 acres of native prairies. Acquired and demolished more than 50 eyesores (run-down structures, dumping grounds, etc.) along the Little Miami, allowing each parcel of land to return to its natural beauty. Partnered with public officials, landowners and developers to establish critical riverfront forests and prairie lands which filter runoff, provide vital shade and wildlife habitat, and help stabilize riverbanks.Educated thousands of kids about river ecosystems, local wildlife, and conservation through educational programs and fishing clinics.
