  As the clinical student specialist, I coordinate the RN Residency Program, Freeman Health Academy, and the Job Shadowing Program within the facility. As the coordinator of the RN Residency Program, I coordinate classes along with the curriculum to assist in developing patient-centered care, leadership and the professional role of the new nurse. As the coordinator of Freeman Health Academy opportunities are organized to provide juniors in high school opportunities to explore different healthcare careers to assist in future career decisions. As the coordinator of the Job Shadowing Program, I work with various departments to assist in setting up opportunities for students and community members to assist in career decisions through observational experiences. Recently, I have had to opportunity to become an American Heart Associate BLS instructor and assist in the implementation of RQI within our facility. Show less

  As a clinical adjunct instructor, I equipped students with the skills and knowledge needed to function at the bedside and provide patient centered care. Guided students in formulating patient centered care plans with appropriate nursing diagnosis and interventions. Assisted in conducting simulation labs to aid students in developing skills and critical thinking. Performed evaluations of student performances and provide constructive feedback to improve skills as a nurse.
