      Assistant Director For Facilities

      As the Assistant Director for Facilities at the University of Nebraska Lincoln’s Campus Recreation Center, I was responsible for Directing, Developing, and Initiating Facilities Management programs characterized by safe, clean, efficient facilities, maintained in as close to their “Original” state as possible. I was also in charge of all Special Event Coordination, Including NCAA Division One Volleyball, and one of the largest intercollegiate flag football tournaments in the country. I did this while keeping an eye for growth and expansion to meet the ever changing demands and ideas of our customers/students. These facilities include roughly 500,000 square feet of indoor facilities and over 140 acres of outdoor recreation facilities, including both natural and synthetic surfaces. I assisted with million+ dollar improvement budgets, and also managed an operating budget. In this position, I developed a global view/vision of what it takes to deliver high quality programs by having played an intricate role in the operation and success of 10 program areas within Campus Recreation at UNL.
