      During my final year I undertook some supervised research. The research dealt with the use of honey derived from medicinal plant species and its effects on atherosclerosis. Assisting with the research provided me with excellent practical skills and knowledge. Specifically, handling reagents, correct aseptic method, and biochemical calculations.

      During my postgraduate degree I completed a year of independent research within Suresh Mathivanan's laboratory. My research involved exploring the role that Src inhibitors had on reducing the effects of cancer associated cachexia.
