My role as a voting member is to participate in the establishment and oversee the execution of the policy and strategy as deemed appropriate to achieve the mission and objectives.SAICE Past President (2023).Promote SAICE’s role as the learned society representing the civil engineering profession. Enhance the image and standing of engineers, technologists, and technicians in the eyes of the public and private sectors. My goal is to use the new IRC to reinforce SAICE as the "thought leader" in civil infrastructure by targeting decision makers in the public sector highlighting the importance of life cycle planning (design, construction, operation and maintenance), reinforcing how critical it is for our experienced engineering professionals to be included in the decision making process.Project Manager on the SAICE IRC published in November 2022.The goal of the IRC is to increase awareness on the condition of infrastructure, the effect of that condition on quality of life and the economy and influence change for the better.Member of the SAICE Project Management and Construction Division PMCD Committee.Appointed onto the Education & Training and the Excellence Awards portfolios.
