  The St. Louis Crisis Nursery allowed me to develop clinical skills in a case management role. I worked with clients one-on-one to assist them with their needs and lend support and empathy. I played an active role in the Parent Education Groups, which focused on parenting skills and coping with the stresses of being a parent. I was in charge of planning and facilitating the children's programming for the parents groups as well as their annual summer camp.

  Counseling and Assessment for Behavioral Health (CABH) is a private practice directed by Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Catherine Hasler. During my time at (CABH) I served as the office manager, which was responsible for managing the scheduling, billing and payment, and managing patient files. Also while at CABH I was able to administer psychological testing to children and adolescents and consult with Psychologists and Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC), which vastly increased my knowledge about therapy, testing, and private practice.   BJC Behavioral Health is a community-based mental health center, which utilizes a holistic approach to best serve their clients. Working with BJC Behavioral Health has allowed me to gain experience in case management as well as counseling in individual and group settings. Much of my internship is dedicated to co-facilitating groups, which focus on topics of mental illness, substance abuse, and recovery. I also have experience working with the Community Mental Health Liaisons, which work directly with Law Enforcement to connect clients to support and services. Show less
