  With Altair Strickland I was the safety supervisor over the Cat 1 total revamp project and many other turnarounds. While working with Altair Strickland we successfully completed 1,078,437 labor hours on several major turnarounds at the BP Texas City Facility with zero BLS/OSHA recordable injuries. This achievement is the equivalent of 500 workers going to work for one entire year with absolutely zero recordable injuries.I worked with what I call the best group of safety leaders in the Texas area. I will never forget the time we all spent together in Bp. I will alway value the time spend with my peers like Ronnie Murphy our manager and the one and only down town Keith Brown, Scotty Sims, Greg Jordan, and so many more!!! We had some of the best leadership the industry can offer with Custer Crawford at the helm and his deep conviction to see the safety of the employees first and foremost. But with all that said we could not have accomplished all that we did without the best group of field craft in the industry, most of whom are the movers and shakers in the industry today!!!   I worked at three outages with the Martin Lake crew and two outages with the Big Brown crew and many more smaller task with in the Fluor group. I would like to say that my time with Fluor was full of learning as well as fun times. Some of the most down to earth humble people I have ever met, they treated me like I was part of a family!!! Every year that passes I miss my family ( Andy Collins, Ira Barr, and the one and only miss Gloria aka MA) and so many more! I pray for all of them as much as I can!! I call Ira and Andy when I'm need a answer to a safety problem and they are always there to answer! Thanks so much!!! Show less
