      MSc research project at the Biomedical Science research group. I investigated the effect of novel synthetic glycolipid TLR4 agonists (FP compounds) and its immune-therapeutic potential by using novel nanodisc carriers to promote tumorigenic macrophage activity by affecting prostate cancer cell survival. I assist teachers in the practical (laboratory) lectures of the BSc in Biomedical Science.Laboratory techniques/Principles of genetics/Metabolism and its control I represented all my course mates in the MSc committee, by defending and exposing the students points of view and sorting any possible problems between students and lecturers/modules. During this internship I got my experience tissue culture and cell biology certificate.

Modules: Blood cells; Chronic Inflammation; Space Innovation Lab 🇬🇧My PhD project aims to identify the processes affecting ageing at a cellular and molecular level both on Earth and in Space, through developing 3D models such as Organoids and 3D bioprinting to study ageing mechanisms and identifying new drug candidates for therapeutic strategies targeting senescence.

      First Place on the Art of the Brain competition 2023 - Most "Liked" image Friedman Brain Institute May 2023 Competition organized by the Friedman Brain Institute at Mount Sinai, submissions of artistic images related to the brain were accepted. My image was a confocal microscopy image of a hippocampus of a mouse brain with Alzheimer's Disease. The first place was given to the person who got more likes within all Friedman Brain Institute social media.

      "Sleep: Neurobiology, Medicine and Society" course diploma with Honors University of Michigan (Coursera) Feb 2022 In this course I learnt about the Neurobiology of sleep and wakefulness, including the role of GABA, Orexin and Adenosine in Wake/REM/NREM, the Molecular Biology and Genetics of sleep that covered how the expression of mRNA Varies During Sleep and Wakefulness, synaptic plasticity is genetically modulated and Brain Glial Cells Influence States of Sleep and Wakefulness! Furthermore topics of Medicine such as sleep disorders and how this impacts our society were approached.
