  Administers the personnel department and performs tasks and assignments relating to personnel administration. The Personnel Administrator has regular contact with the City Manager, Division/Department Heads, other administrative staff members, etc., to define, explain, and interpret matters of personnel policies and procedures, and secure acceptance of city-wide levels on major program changes regarding personnel. The Director is responsible for the changes regarding personnel. The Director is responsible for the collection and analysis of data pertaining to various aspects of personnel including training, performance evaluation, wage and benefit surveys, governmental regulations, and the City’s Classification and Compensation and Benefit plans with appropriate labor markets and comparable municipal programs, employee selection, affirmative action/EEO compliance, employee/employer relations, workers' compensation, and liaison with departments relative to accidents/safety, and other forms of risk management.
