An unique drag balance facility has been built to obtain direct skin-friction measurements in a high Reynolds number turbulent boundary layer. Experiments are carried out to explore the possibility of reducing the turbulence levels and skin-friction drag in the boundary layer using novel active control schemes to modify the large-scale flow phenomena.

Investigated the spatial evolution of rough wall turbulent boundary layers in the context of understanding the asymptotic behaviour of wall-bounded turbulent flows.

Conducted experimental studies on the dispersion of neutrally buoyant pollutants in a large-scale wind tunnel facility at the University of Sydney. Developed predictive models for the spectral distribution of pollutant concentration once the source conditions are known. In addition to research, I also assisted in more than 50 industry projects to measure structural loads, cladding pressure on scaled models of tall buildings, obtained information of velocity and turbulence around airports using state-of-the-art experimental techniques.
