My main sourcing activity was for the engines to be built at JLR’s first powertrain factory in Wolverhampton. My spend on current business, at that time, was £4m. In my time at JLR, I made significant and recognised contributions to my department’s targets and profit margins.   Responsible for the implementation, development and maintenance of sales forecasting model. This was to encompass input from the sales force and operations team, in conjunction with effective analysis of historical sales and seasonal trending. A challenging project which allowed me to engage with and influence several areas of the company. I was given full authority to shape process, whilst working with senior management to identify better ways of working. In my time with Bibendum, my key achievements were to improve communication and understanding of my area; significantly improve the accuracy of the sales-out forecast; create a structure of responsibility and accountability; and to provide traceability of issues’ root cause.   Taught a one semester university course, The Business of Wine, for students visiting Barcelona to study abroad. This course syllabus covered an introduction to viticulture and vinification, current affairs in the wine trade with a focus of climate change, in-depth sessions on Spanish wine and the Spanish industry, and an introduction to other key producing countries. This course was aimed at those with no prior wine knowledge looking to gain insight and understanding of the global business of wine.This role involved continuous assessment throughout the semester including written, audio and video assignments, along with grading for classroom participation and final examinations.
