      Worked as an Onshore Project Manager and Project Engineering coordinator for the 2 x 650 MW Oil fired Power Project in Egypt. I was located in Cairo on this project as a resident Project engineering coordinator. Black & Veatch provided engineering and procurement services to our client AVIC/ZTPC on the Mechanical Balance of plant package for the project. Black & Veatch provided these services as part of a consortium with AVIC-ZTPC being our prime contractor. My responsibilities included contract management, project coordination, engineering coordination, procurement functions like technical negotiations with vendors, coordinating with B&V and Project systems group, coordinating with B&V and the end client (PGESCo) on various technical and project execution issues, coordinating reviews of engineering drawings/documents and vendor quality plans for various equipment’s required for the power plant. Highlighting critical issues to clients and Lead consortium partners in attending weekly engineering and procurement review meetings with PGESCo, follow up and closure of action point list. I was been the prime contact with the immediate client AVIC ZTPC and the end client (PGESCo) on all levels of engineering, procurement and day to day project execution issues. Work involved coordinating release of RFQ's to supplier's, carrying our Bid evaluations, lead techno-commercial negotiations, provide recommendations to the global procurement team located in the US office for placing purchase orders and coordinating project reviews. Responsible for coordinating and carrying out QA/QC activities, engineering document reviews and commercial (Special Economic Zone) formalities/activities within a team of 14 people working on this project.
