The mid-range resources were trained with the most experienced resources on the major enhancements/changes. Brand new product projects were lead by the most experienced resources assisted by available resources. Results: -Work load decrease of 25% (lowering need for overtime and no need for additional resources)-Decreased engineering lead-time from 8 weeks to 3-5 weeks (& 12-16 weeks for major enhancements/changes to 8-10 weeks, increase sales’ equipment specification accuracy 150% without the use of engineering resources also allowing actual engineering cost to be calculated & monitored.) Results: inventory accuracy was increased to over 90% and lead to a reduction of on-hand inventory by 30%. With this confidence in the inventory control, purchasing was able to negotiate to get with vendors for JIT inventories, vendor managed inventories (VMI) or get vendors’ to use consignment stock• Presented educational seminars on “Closed Loop” manufacturing systems which included APICS oriented material• Developed a Reduced Machine Setup and Changeover Methodology.• Managed ERP software selection project for aircraft engine parts manufacturing company; included FAA requirements. Results: savings of $250,000 on budgeted software implementation.• Directed two of three phases of implementation (financials, order processing, manufacturing) of ERP software selection project for a fence manufacturer.
