Developed a remote diagnostic utility to streamline the technical support information gathering process to reduce support times, automate information format between departments and to improve the bottom line for our unit. Worked directly with the developers of Backup Exec and NetBackup to identify, correct and enhance the code base. Promoted 3 times in 6 months and subsequently pulled into an internal development role.

  Provided vision and was sole developer of all security related technology. Developed 4 branded versions of Aluria's Spyware Eliminator, Pop-Up stoppers, firewalls, and other ad-hoc utilities for the consumer space. Developed the Anti-Spyware engine, differential signature update processes, internal tools to create the signature files and along with developing and growing the support department and internal tools. AOL signed a multi-year contract to provide ASE to their member base..The solutions I developed lead directly to the aquistion of Aluria LLC to Earthlink. Show less

  Develop anti-malware identification and remediation solutions that powered our online threat research database. Solutions included a thin client that monitored behavioral changes and reported directly to a central server that provided customized removal scripts. Over 500k volunteers assisted us and thousands of grass root malware researchers. Cyveillance acquired the technology and me in 2006.

  Tasked with building a Security Lab from the ground up that enhanced the current content inspection technologies to then identify a wide range of dynamically emerging threats in real-time using behavior triggers. This was accomplished in six months with the full inspection capacity that is scalable to any size only dependent on infrastructure. The solution was designed to allow complete operational awareness on all virtual machines, sandbox instances, and real-time inspection honeynets from a highly robust DashBoard. The resulting output has created an extremely high margin SAAS solution that delivers real-time threat intelligence and domain reputation intelligence on websites and provides a 'request and wait' web service to facilitate a broad range of customer needs. The entire solution runs with one FTE and is automated from input to output supporting 300-500mm end users with intelligence consumed by Blue Coat, Cisco, RSA and AOL. Show less
