  Currently the subject head of Mathematics, where I was brought in to improve and promote the subject that was phased out in 2020 due to consecutive years obtaining a 0% pass-rate. In this position I'm required to teach all grades and move with the learners to the next grade through to matric to attempt a improvement of the pass-rate but mainly focus on eliminating problems that manifest in Grade 8.With this in mind, I'm responsible for compiling and moderating of assessments, doing quarterly curriculum coverage and identifying intervention plans. I work hand-in-hand with Step Aboard tutors that also teach here over weekends that consist of UCT-mathematic students.As a educator I understand that the trouble we deal with a school might root at home, so open-communication with parents and the community is of utmost importance to me. Lastly, I do try my best to assist in change where possible, thus I teach Economics at Second Chance to adults in attempt to assist the with finishing their NSC. I hope this finds you well.RegardsP.   Current role as Mathematics teacher entails teaching of Mathematics for Grade 8 to Grade 10 and Mathematical Literacy for Grade 11 and Grade 12. This includes preparation of all formal assessments (projects and examination's) , year planning and term performance analysis for Mathematics.I've been appointed as NSC marker for the Grade 12 National Senior Certificate for the end of 2023.Other responsibilities include but not limited to, administration of period and daily attendance of learners, communication between school and parents and coaching of various sport codes.
