I assessed children with learning disabilities, ADD, and ADHD and through vestibular stimulation, helped them develop their fine and gross motor skills, improved their attention skills, and perfected basic movement skills such as balance, rhythm, and coordination.

    • Zai Xi Elementary School

      Jan 2009 - Jul 2009
      ESL Teacher

Through co-teaching, fun and engaging yearly and daily lesson plans were developed. Weekly professional development, provided by the government, provided teachers with the tools to support EFL students with reading, writing, and speaking the English language.

    • Jian Gong Elementary School

      Aug 2009 - Jul 2010
      ESL Substitute Teacher

Short and long-term substituting offered the opportunity to work with many different students (of different abilities), teachers, and schools. Flexibility and the adaptability to change are the two most important attributes to have developed. Daily lesson plans had to be followed but improvisation was key for keeping students engaged in the learning process.

    • Jiow Sheh Elementary School

      Aug 2010 - Aug 2015
      ESL Teacher

In addition to following the national curriculum, I was entrusted with the sole responsibility to provide students with daily life English language enhancement skills. By emphasizing student agency and ownership over their learning, lessons become relevant, challenging, significant, and engaging. I have also been involved in fellow teachers' training (helping new and current teachers with curriculum development and classroom management).
