Aug 2009 - Jul 2010ESL Substitute TeacherShort and long-term substituting offered the opportunity to work with many different students (of different abilities), teachers, and schools. Flexibility and the adaptability to change are the two most important attributes to have developed. Jiow Sheh Elementary School
Aug 2010 - Aug 2015ESL TeacherIn addition to following the national curriculum, I was entrusted with the sole responsibility to provide students with daily life English language enhancement skills. By emphasizing student agency and ownership over their learning, lessons become relevant, challenging, significant, and engaging. I have also been involved in fellow teachers' training (helping new and current teachers with curriculum development and classroom management).
