  I lead a Youth Ministry of 30 students aged 11-19, where I taught and facilitated engaging youth services and events, such as local outreach, mission trips, retreats, and camps. I oversaw a team of volunteer leaders, individually mentored students, and directed Summer Interns, as well as supported my students and engaged with their families.

  I worked with children and young adults with physical, mental, and emotional developmental disabilities, specifically with Cerebral Palsy, as they interacted with and rode horses. Specifically, I targeted the progression of motor skills, communication, sensory processing, and building rapport with horses and adults.

  Child Life Practicum Student

  A collaboration of experiences, people, and settings implementing play, therapeutic relationships, and understanding traditional and non-traditional Child Life roles. This practicum meets all ACLP guidelines and was held in the midst of COVID, which created greater opportunity for creativity and innovation. This experience provided me the opportunity to shadow and participate in psychosocial assessment, patient and family-centered care, intervention, therapeutic play, support, education, and professional responsibilities.
