  As the Team Leader, I spearheaded the entire process encompassing the designing, development, and manufacturing of an RC aircraft. This comprehensive project involved crucial tasks such as design refinement, performance analysis, and necessary modifications to ensure optimal functionality.The primary objective of this undertaking was to create an aircraft that could safely undertake take-off, cruising, and landing while effectively carrying a specific payload. To achieve this, we opted for a distinctive aircraft design, featuring canards at the front section and the main wing positioned at the aft, complemented by two vertical stabilizers.In the construction phase, we utilized a combination of carefully selected materials including balsa, spruce, plywood, steel, aluminum, and carbon fiber rods. This meticulous selection of materials played a pivotal role in achieving the desired balance between structural integrity, weight optimization, and aerodynamic performance.As the Team Leader, I effectively collaborated and coordinated with a team of six dedicated members. Together, we collectively designed and built the aircraft from scratch, which provided me with invaluable insights and experience in intricate knowledge acquisition, team management, and leadership skills. This collaborative effort ensured that each team member contributed their unique expertise, resulting in a cohesive and successful project outcome.The comprehensive process of overseeing the design, development, and manufacturing of the RC aircraft has equipped me with a profound understanding of various aspects, including aerodynamics, structural engineering, material selection, and project management.   Aircraft Maintenance Intern

  During my internship, I had the privilege of working across multiple divisions, including Instruments, Base Maintenance, and Electronics, where I contributed to a range of valuable projects and tasks. Here are the key highlights of my internship experience:Instruments Division: As part of this division, I actively collaborated in the testing of Flight Data Recorders installed in Boeing 747-400 aircraft. I meticulously inspected the recorders, assessing them for any physical damage to the drives and ensuring the quality of data retention. Additionally, I conducted thorough checks on Hydraulic Quantity Interface Modules (HYQUIM) to identify and address any defects. I efficiently replaced necessary parts and rigorously tested their accuracy.Base Maintenance Division: In this division, I was entrusted with the responsibility of servicing the access panels of a Boeing 777-300ER wing. This involved replacing worn-out gaskets with new ones, removing excess grease build-up inside the panels, and replacing damaged screws. Additionally, I had the opportunity to assist in the replacement of the entire Main Landing Gear (MLG), gaining invaluable hands-on experience. Furthermore, in the Boeing 787-9, I successfully replaced a damaged pipeline in the engine and rectified a faulty access door lock mechanism. I also performed the essential task of refilling Hydraulic Fluid to ensure optimal performance.Electronics Division: Within this division, I dedicated my focus to studying In-Flight Entertainment Systems. Through my engagement in this area, I gained comprehensive knowledge of the systems and developed the skill set necessary for identifying and resolving issues. I effectively replaced faulty units in the Boeing 787-9, contributing to the seamless operation of the entertainment systems on board.By actively engaging in these divisions, I acquired a well-rounded understanding of the intricacies involved in maintaining critical aircraft components and systems.   I had the honour of being nominated for the prestigious Semester Abroad Program, which afforded me the incredible opportunity to study my 6th semester in Moscow, Russia. Throughout this enriching experience, I delved into a range of complex subjects that broadened my academic horizons, including Continuum Mechanics, Aircraft Control Systems, and Aircraft Dynamics, among others.One of the highlights of my time in Moscow was the privilege of being taught by highly qualified scientists who had extensively contributed to various fighter aircraft projects under Mikoyan (MiG) and Sukhoi. Their expertise and practical experience provided an unparalleled learning environment, emphasizing real-world applications.Notably, the teaching approach in Moscow was heavily focused on practicality. I had the privilege of accessing robust custom software and state-of-the-art aircraft simulators, which are not commercially available. These cutting-edge resources played a crucial role in solidifying my theoretical understanding, enabling me to bridge the gap between classroom concepts and practical implementation.In addition to the academic pursuits, my time in Moscow allowed me to immerse myself in the local culture and language. I dedicated time to learning basic Russian, which not only facilitated day-to-day interactions but also fostered a deeper connection with the vibrant community around me. Furthermore, I embraced the opportunity to explore my passion for adventure by engaging in the thrilling activity of rock climbing.Overall, the Semester Abroad Program in Moscow was a transformative experience that enhanced my academic knowledge, provided exposure to unique resources, and enriched my cultural understanding.   During my internship at Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE), I conducted advanced analyses on a Twin Element Composite UAV Wing comprising 250 components. Here are the key contributions and tasks I undertook:Executed Finite Element Analysis (FEA): I proficiently carried out FEA on the UAV wing, using sophisticated techniques to analyze its structural behaviour and performance.HyperMesh and CATIA Modeling: Utilizing HyperMesh, I effectively meshed the entire CATIA model of the wing, ensuring an accurate representation of the components for analysis. This meticulous process enabled precise simulations and evaluations.Analysis Tools: I employed industry-standard tools such as MSC Nastran and Patran for conducting a comprehensive analysis, studying the results, and verifying their validity. These tools allowed for a detailed examination of structural integrity and performance.Load Distribution and Factor of Safety: To ensure the wing's integrity, I determined the load distribution across its structure and calculated the Factor of Safety. This crucial step involved assessing potential stress points and making necessary design adjustments for optimal safety margins.Modal Analysis: I performed modal analysis to identify the natural frequencies at which bending and torsion occur in the wing structure. This analysis provided insights into potential vibration and resonance phenomena, enabling effective design enhancements.Linear Static Analysis: To evaluate the structural response under various loading conditions, I conducted linear static analysis. This process allowed me to determine critical parameters such as Maximum and Minimum Principal Stresses and Strains, stress distribution on the transport joint, and the maximum displacement at the wingtip.Through these comprehensive assessments, I contributed to the overall understanding of the UAV wing's structural behaviour, ensuring its reliability and performance within designated operating conditions.
