  The 'El Paso' Hydropower Project in the San Fernando area consisted in the construction and development of a 1 km hydraulic tunnel.Rockmass classification, tunnel convergences monitoring and hydrofracturing tests were taken place to ensure the stability and quality in order to fulfill the design requirements. The 'Mine to plant Transfer' Project in the Andina Mine in Los Andes area, was designed to recover an abandoned mine level. These works included updating supports and new underground developments by drill and blast methods, in order to make a more direct transport of the mined materials to the processing plant. Show less

  The 'Alto Maipo Hydropower Project' is deemed one of the biggest hydraulic projects in South America. It is comprised of more than 60 km of underground development, including two power houses and a variety of shafts. Drill and Blast, Tunnel Boring Machines and Raise Boring methods are used in this immense project in which the technical difficulty, given the natural characteristics and the complexity of the emplacement, is outstanding.Given the technical difficulty, different departments such as design, construction, geology, health and safety and quality, work alongside each other, being able to use the latest tunneling technology, geotechnical, hydrogeological and geological evaluation, to fulfill the requirements of the project.   The Aurora Wind Farm Project consisted of the installation of 43 wind turbines designed to supply energy to the Llanquihue community as well as Puerto Varas city, located in the south of Chile. Soil classification and foundation types were defined and applied by design as well as the realisation of a variety of geotechnical tests for soil characteristics definition.
